beckon yourself back to yourself

hey, summer tomato.

5 months into the year is a great time to do a little loving check-in with yourself around what matters to you most —

and honey you BETTER put YOURSELF on your own damn list!

so let’s think about it…

where may your commitment to yourself have unintentionally gone astray?

could be…

that your intentions of meaningful self-care + making decisions that lift you up rather than hold you back have gotten lost in the chaos of navigating a string of shitshows, dumpster fires + horrifying humanitarian crises

or that your goal of weaving joyful play into your day has started to lose out to all the yammering voices telling you it’s foolish, wasteful + irresponsible, or that demand you hustle more to “earn” it

or maybe your once rock solid determination to really trust yourself at least as much as everyone else in your big biz decisions has just been so damn tough to do in the face of critics who use any gap between where you are + where you want to be as evidence that it doesn’t work

whether you’re overwhelmed, underresourced, or just plain tuckered the eff out, it can be hard to hold onto a vision when it doesn’t reflect what mouthy folks think it should be

it’s one of the reasons my inner sanctum community is so powerful —

membership ensures you’ve got voices that value your wisdom as well as your commitment to honoring it, ears to hear what matters to you most + hearts to cheer you the eff on every step of the way

it’s time to banish the cult of outside experts over inner wisdom so you can discern what inner + outer guidance will REALLY serve you

and one of the ways to do that is to BECKON YOURSELF BACK TO YOURSELF

notice where you’ve subtly starting selling yourself out, ignoring your inner nudges + heartheld yearnings, and pushing your name down down down, precariously close to the bottom edge of your list

love yourself in spite of it

love yourself BECAUSE of it

believe it’s okay, and take one small step to champion yourself right now

do a thing

block time on your cal for a thing

tell a trusted other a thing

say no to a thing

say yes to a thing

create a new thing

don’t let your commitment to your most positively thriving life + biz get watered down by the runoff from overfilling so many other people’s cups

or muddied by what everyone else has to say about it

BACKSTORY TO THE STORY:

i’ve been taking the “connect + destress” gentle movement class with billie smith as part of their rebel movement club on tuesday mornings for the past year plus

sometimes they guide us through some intentional breathing, meditation or a short visualization, and one day they guided us, if we noticed our thoughts drifting, to encourage our focus back

that word choice, to “encourage” our focus back, inspired the “beckon yourself back to yourself” message here

wanna try out the rebel movement club for yourself?

billie’s invited me to offer this WILD tester pack to you — $10 CAD for FIVE classes is less than $7.50 (aka a buck 50 a class!)

there are a variety to choose from, all steeped in an anti diet culture ethos that encourages you to listen to the wisdom in your own damn body + move in ways that feel good

including my fave connect + destress on tuesdays at 7am ET — meet me there!

xxoo, cc
