do you believe in this?

hey, sesame seed.

listen, there will always be some sorta valid bullshit reason to sideline your joy — especially in your business

there will always be voices urging you to deprioritize your joy — insisting that it’s impractical, unreasonable + irresponsible to seek joy as a metric of success

it’s one thing to SAY you want to claim joy like it’s your job, or to know that you’d like a more joyful experience in this one sweet life of yours

that’s the easy part (even though i know you might actually struggle to feel like joy can be yours + you get to be wildly successful AND steeped in joy)

just like it’s relatively EASY to say you trust yourself, or that you’d like to trust yourself more

the tough part is holding onto that trust + continuing to prioritize that joy when life lifes…

when industry leaders + smooth marketers insist you’re doing it wrong if you’re not doing it their way…

when armchair experts mansplain, well meaning loved ones caution, and those who live in fear want you to live there, too

to really LIVE your joy + allow your self-trust to LEAD in life + biz, you need three things:

  1. a deep belief in a life + biz lived in joy + led by self-trust
  2. a set of practices + supports to keep you grounded in the experience of that belief
  3. a practice ground for navigating decisions made from that place + challenges to them

hey, chicken strip. 🚨 stop joining communities to be polite pssst: you can sub “joining communities” with whatever else you’re doing because it would feel rude or uncomfortable not to you work, feel + love too damn hard to slowly smother yourself under the weight of being a “good” friend, colleague, partner or lover it may feel easier to just click “accept” on that group invite than to say it’s not a good fit for you right now same for the new client, volunteer position, date invite or collab...

hey, cheese tray. what do you do when there’s a shitton you COULD be doing + you aren’t feeling focused, but you ARE feeling motivated + ready to get down to biz? i regularly use a combination of: whiteboards (3) NUMEROUS google cal reminders (color coded by mood at the moment rather than in pursuit of organizational purposes) — for weekly AND daily goals/tasks sticky notes torn scraps of paper voice memos a journal for strategizing out at cafes or parks dedicated google docs hastily made...

hey, blueberry bush. make recordbreaking bank — when i set this intention for the year ahead back in december, i suppose maybe i should have been more specific 🤦♀️ because i sure did break a record recently, but not in the way i had in mind filing my taxes this year revealed to me that last year i made the least amount of money i’ve ever made, since i was like twelve (only the slightest of exaggerations, i’m afraid) on the up side, it does give a little validation to how tough it’s been to...
