still walking your talk?

hey, pop rock.
what do you value in theory that you’ve stopped honoring as important in your actual actions?
it could be a ritual, habit, belief or practice…
maybe it’s doing a regular activity that supports your health — like a daily walk or green juice or meditation
or it could be following through on something related to your business — like shouting out successes on team meetings or creating SOPs for repeated tasks so anyone can do them with ease
or maybe it’s something like buying local, shopping small, and supporting woman-owned, black-owned, LGBTQIA+-owned businesses
if you’re having a hard time thinking about it, take a moment to consider the advice you often give others, and if you’re honoring it within yourself
for example…
😴 do you urge those you love to nap regularly, yet never manage to allow yourself to slow down enough to do the same?
😕 do you advocate for the power of doing more of what you love, yet find yourself forever stuck acting out of obligation?
🤐 are you the first to ask your friends to speak kindly to themselves, yet have a nasty undercurrent forever rolling in your own head?
if anything like that rings all too true, trust that i am NOT trying to call it out as hypocrisy or make you feel at all bad about it!
this is an invitation to remember what matters to you, and to recalibrate if you’ve become distanced from it at all
one more entrypoint into something here is to consider where you’re doing things for the return + not for the love of it
for example…
🙌 are you “practicing” gratitude because you’re trying to manifest, or because you’re truly freaking grateful?
🥰 are you posting pics for the likes or because the practice connects you to the world around you?
💧 are you treating your email list like a well to tap or a pool in which to connect?
in today’s sanctum session, our community card pull was “talk less, feel more,” from the moonology manifestation oracle card deck by yasmin boland + lori menna
what i said in the following clip (which inspired this email) was in response to a member who recounted a short story about the current artemis II moon mission, as well as one who shared a return to a daily practice as part of her “thursday thrills”
the wisdom generated within the container of the inner sanctum comes from the interplay of member experiences + current events as well as card imagery + guidebook information. growth + transformation comes from actions inspired by these shared reflections, inquiries, and co-created meanings
➡️ want to experience the power of a space like that for yourself?

hey, almond paste. who knew it was actually true… but size really doesn’t matter before you come for me, hang on a beat + hear me out i don’t know what you had on YOUR mind, but i’m talking about the unfortunate cultural norm of classifying joy into different-sized buckets small pleasures. appreciating the little things. microjoys i mean, YES i WANT you to enjoy simple moments + daily delights (they’re an integral part of claiming joy like it’s your job, after all) what i’d love for you to...
hey, salty caper. bandaids don’t always make it better, and healing generally involves way more time than we’ve been socialized to believe whether we’re talking injured body parts or emotional wounds, surface healing doesn’t mean your insides are well yet, and often the most healing work doesn’t show visible results for more time than we’d like real healing takes time, and trying to shortcut it will yield cut short results we’re just so damn busy though, so eager to slap a well sticker on our...
hey, lemon cake. so, prioritizing self-care doesn’t always look the way you think it will (or how everyone else tells you it should) sometimes it looks like rest and if you need that, by all means REST i took a 2 hour nap yesterday because i really couldn’t not today i’m hunkering down one of the things i love to help you do is learn to trust yourself to know when you need the nap + when you’re using it as an escape… learn to trust yourself to discern when you can afford to take that space to...
