do you do this fiercely, too?

hey, olive medley.

one things about me is i’m a language-loving wordy birdie utterly enchanted by the power wrapped in the way we cobble words together to capture, coalesce + convey

i love the way phrases will come during a card coaching session, and how potent they can be to embody + effect change

today what came was the phrase “offloading the excess, fiercely”

it was during a monthly20 call for a member of the UPRISING inner sanctum (my neo-community for passion-powered biz bosses here to trust themselves at least as much as everyone else)

this was the card we pulled on the call:

we spoke about the wisdom in calling on help rather than trying to do a thing all alone, as well as how the right-sized urn makes all the difference —

how even a bigger vase can be easy to carry when you’re not trying to ALSO carry a bajillion other smaller ones

gaining clarity around what she DOES want to carry + what she’s ready to release has been an ongoing topic + pursuit for this client as she specifically imagines a new way of putting her work into the world

according to the card’s guidebook entry, this 10 of inspiration/wands is about the heaviness of too many promises

it was right around that point in the conversation (after having both reflected on + explored the images on the card + then briefly checking in with the guidebook) that the offloading phrase came to mind

on the baseline of seven nation army, via this cover i'd heard a couple hours before (hear it here)

the line of bulls forging forward to this anthem for offloading in service of being more free to do what you love

and i’m just in love with the energy of detachment inherent in “offloading excess” combined with the emotional investment inherent in the word “fiercely”

it was a quick step to turn it into a powerful claiming phrase to mobilize energy + intention to such a task:

I OFFLOAD THE EXCESS, FIERCELY

try it out the next time you’re trying to cut out needless tasks, responsibilities or steps!

and then come tell me about it

xxoo, cc

hey, cracklin' oat. one surefire way to stop feeling like life is passing you by is to go ahead + meet me in the middle today is the last day of the first half of the year! we’re in the middle, and it’s a great time to pause, take stock, and slow the roller coaster down for a bit to reflect without intentionally taking space to ground into a moment + look back at how far you’ve come, it’s wayyyyyyy too easy to get unmoored from what’s important to you, caught up in other people’s drama, and...

hey, butterscotch pop. yesterday i planned on doing a side job, but felt called to something else instead intuitive cues came by way of a shifted weather forecast + a sense of what i felt more lit up to do instead and listen — sometimes there are absolutely things we must do at certain times. intuition-driven decisionmaking isn’t about avoiding those it’s about, when there’s room (and when you can make room), allowing yourself to stop fighting your longings + start following them confidently...

hey, salty sunflower seed. listen — plans change, life happens, clients cancel calls (friends do, too) and honestly? that used to bother the fuck outta me not because i had a problem with change (i didn’t + don’t.) it just felt so damn inconsiderate, ya know? my schedule was kind of a beast, so saying YES to this thing often meant saying NO to several others (and shifting a few more around) when someone canceled even a day or two before a meeting or event, i would often feel so put out —...
