do it timid (and other wisdom from the sanctum)

hey, cardamom loaf.

so, on the weekly calls for my UPRISING inner sanctum neo-community, i’ll pull an oracle or tarot card for the community

sometimes the message that comes to me in the moment runs counter to the wisdom in the card’s guidebook entry. sometimes the messages that comes through for each member run counter to what the guidebook says as well as what speaks through to me

that’s all fantastic + by design!

the way i read cards + encourage you to read them is a co-created experience in which each interpretation is always true + right… because we don’t actually deal in right or wrong here

we deal in what rings true, what feels relevant, what resonates. and in the veracity of your own inner wisdom + deep knowing

it’s about pathways + nuances of wisdom brought forth by personal reflection + connection, the ability to find meaning in multiple interpretations at once, and always, ALWAYS trusting yourself + your interpretations at LEAST as much as everyone else’s

our interpretations are affected by individual experience, context + timing. the message that comes to you when engaging with a card today may not at all be the same as the one that comes to you with the same card next week or next month

the card pulled this week was “woman holding a heart” from the energy oracle cards deck by sandra anne taylor + jena dellagrottaglia

here’s some of what came through for me. i’d love to know if any of it lands for you, or what lands instead!

be conscious of the hearts you hold + of who may be holding yours

be conscious, be intentional. take care

honor them

and if others aren’t taking care with + honoring your heart that they hold, then perhaps it’s time to decide if you want to address it + fix it or just peace out

there’s a bit of self-consciousness around the holding, or maybe it’s fear or timidity, but she’s holding it anyway

so perhaps now is the time to DO IT TIMID rather than not at all — knowing that your boldness will grow with your practice

curious about what else we do in the UPRISING inner sanctum? hit reply to see if a complimentary invite to one of our calls might be a good fit!

xxoo, cc

ps: i’m including the guidebook entry so you can start to see the multiple pathways of insight available to you as you engage with the cards in this co-created way

hey, chicken strip. 🚨 stop joining communities to be polite pssst: you can sub “joining communities” with whatever else you’re doing because it would feel rude or uncomfortable not to you work, feel + love too damn hard to slowly smother yourself under the weight of being a “good” friend, colleague, partner or lover it may feel easier to just click “accept” on that group invite than to say it’s not a good fit for you right now same for the new client, volunteer position, date invite or collab...

hey, sesame seed. listen, there will always be some sorta valid bullshit reason to sideline your joy — especially in your business there will always be voices urging you to deprioritize your joy — insisting that it’s impractical, unreasonable + irresponsible to seek joy as a metric of success it’s one thing to SAY you want to claim joy like it’s your job, or to know that you’d like a more joyful experience in this one sweet life of yours that’s the easy part (even though i know you might...

hey, cheese tray. what do you do when there’s a shitton you COULD be doing + you aren’t feeling focused, but you ARE feeling motivated + ready to get down to biz? i regularly use a combination of: whiteboards (3) NUMEROUS google cal reminders (color coded by mood at the moment rather than in pursuit of organizational purposes) — for weekly AND daily goals/tasks sticky notes torn scraps of paper voice memos a journal for strategizing out at cafes or parks dedicated google docs hastily made...
